The Teri Davis Patane Memorial Horse Camp for Kids (TDP Horse Camp) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to providing disadvantaged kids with an opportunity to learn basic horsemanship skills and experience nature in an educational and fun setting. The annual seven-day camp is solely funded by donations and completely staffed by volunteers. It provides all the kids with room and board, their own horse and all necessary equipment. The camp includes arena training and a three-day two-night campout trail ride.
We believe there is an increasing need in our community to expose
kids to nature. Horses are an excellent vehicle for this purpose.
The kids learn to ride horses and care for the animals as they
witness nature first hand. We believe kids gain responsibility
and self-esteem through this unique experience.
